Inside "Capture the Sun" Episode 1

On April 16th, Illogic & Blockhead will release their first collaborative full-length, Capture The Sun. The album, which includes features from Blueprint, Abstract Rude, and others, will be released on TK via Man Bites Dog Records, and, as a follow-up to the release of the album’s lead single and title track, which featured Slug of Atmosphere Seen HERE, Illogic & Blockhead are today rolling out the first part of what will be a four-part mini-documentary series on Capture The Sun, Journey To Capture The Sun.

Capture The Sun, for both Illogic and Blockhead comes at a time of musical change in their lives – Illogic learning how to balance his music dreams with being a father and husband; Blockhead stepping away from strictly instrumental work to collaborate with rappers again – and so it’s fitting that the mini-doc series, which is directed and edited by Blueprint, starts at the beginning of each artist’s respective music career. “Knowing we had something that was that deep into the culture here in our city,” says Illogic of his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, “that really interested me. The rest is history.”
